FETC Virtual Conference Registration open

The FETC Virtual Conference is Thursday, April 28th, 2011 from 10:30am - 6:00pm (ET).

This is a great, free, online conference with some great resources, presentations, and networking. There is also a virtual exhibit hall with vendor reps and information. The virtual conference is easy to navigate and contains video presentations, discussion forums, vendor sites, and more. There are downloads available and everything is archived for future reference. Attend all of it, or just pop in when you have time.

Some of the vendors even have drawings for freebies (which is always nice)

Some of the sessions are from or based-on sessions from the live FETC event just held.

What a great way to learn and connect and get new ideas and resources for your teaching.

Don't forget about TeachMeet New Jersey this weekend too!

100+ Free Internet Resources for Real Teachers in Real Classrooms

100+ Free Internet Resources for Real Teachers in Real Classrooms is a great resource created by Pamela Kenney, a principal from Florida, who presented this at FETC 2011.

The site has resources and links broken down into categories: Digital Storytelling, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Teacher tools.

I already knew about some of them, but found some great new resources too. Check it out.

FETC Virtual Conference Spring 2010

FETC is a great educational technology conference held in Florida. They also run a virtual conference that is very good. The next virtual conference is April 22, 2010, from 10:30am to 6pm EDT. Did I mention that it is 100% FREE! Heck, you can even "attend" in your pajamas.

The virtual conference is easy to navigate and contains video presentations, discussion forums, vendor sites, and more. It is well worth your time. Everything is also archived for future reference in case you can't do all of it in real time.

There are even drawings for freebies from the vendors.

You can register for it here and get more information. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about educational technology and how it can improve teaching and learning.

FETC Virtual Conference Fall 2009 is OPEN NOW!

FETC, the Florida Educational Technology Conference, is a huge national conference held in January. They also run a virtual conference which is OPEN RIGHT NOW!

The virtual conference runs from 10am to 6pm and everything will be archived for future reference if you can't get online today.

The site is easy to navigate and contains video presentations, discussion forums, downloads, vendor sites, and more. It is well worth your time and everything is archived for future download and viewing if you can't attend in real time.

There are even drawings for freebies from the vendors.

You can register for it here and get more information.

I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about educational technology and how it can improve teaching and learning. I "attended" last year's and got a lot of great information and resources, as well as making some connections with colleagues from all over the world.

I was invited to present at FETC 2010, but I am unable to attend due to a back injury that will prevent me from traveling to Florida. I do recommend the conference to others.

FETC 2010 - help needed

FETC 2010, the Florida Educational Technology Conference is January 12-15, 2010, in Orlando, FL. I have been invited to present a session on Google Docs and free resources. I was very happy and honored to be invited. The little problem I am facing is that they do not pay for travel expenses, and airfare is not cheap.

I was hoping that one of my readers would know about grants that help pay for teachers to attend conferences like this and help cover travel expenses. If anyone knows of any programs, please let me know as soon as possible. Our district has almost no money for things like this, so I'm looking for outside grant sources.

On a similar note, FETC's Virtual Conference is October 22nd. That is free. I "attended" last year and it was very good and I got a lot out of it.

Thanks for any help!!
